Melanie & Cameron Engagement

Sorry I have been so MIA from my blog! I have been busy working, and just got back from a great break in Austin, Texas; I visited my friend, Cathleen for South by Southwest. It was so much fun, and the cherry on top of it all was that I got to photograph this lovely couple for their engagement. I am very much looking forward to their sweet backyard October wedding in Fort Worth, Texas. I’ve known Melanie since elementary school (wooo Tanglewood Tigers!), and it was so great to meet her future husband. They are really just perfect for each other- so incredibly loving and sweet. Guys, I am honored to be your photographer and to get the chance to capture your love! You make it easy for me. For reals.

We started out in Hyde Park, where Melanie lives, and ventured on down to South Congress. After that, we came back to Hyde Park to take some shots at Flightpath Coffee and the food trailer “Biscuits and Groovy.” If you haven’t been to Austin, the fact that they have a food trailer dedicated solely to biscuits and gravy should be sufficient incentive to visit. And while I’m at it, I just have to share with you that I had my first waffle taco from a food trailer on east 6th (picture a waffle instead of a taco shell, filled with fried chicken, cheese and bacon, topped with hot sauce and maple syrup). I love Austin.
